About

Quick intro

By day I work helpdesk for an MSP. By night the lab comes on, and that is where the real work happens.

It started as a way to stop paying monthly for things I could run myself, and it turned into a habit. Now if a friend needs a project hosted, or someone in the family needs something that just works, it runs here instead of on someone else's server.

Away from a keyboard I lift, and I play in a basketball league. Everything else happens after midnight.

What this site is

Everything here came out of the lab. Thousands of wallpapers and a curated set of neon graffiti logos, all generated, upscaled and vectorized on my own hardware.

No cloud AI. No subscriptions. No third party touches any of it.

The Homelab

Why it exists

Every service in here replaced something I used to rent. What began as cancelling subscriptions turned into a place to host things properly: projects for friends, storage that does not vanish when a company pivots, and a workshop for anything I want to try.

It is a production environment run by one person, which means it has to actually work.

Compute cluster

A six-node hypervisor cluster running dozens of virtual machines and containers. Workloads move between nodes, and the whole estate is snapshotted nightly to a dedicated backup server with its own retention policy and encrypted storage.

AI workstation

A bare-metal dual-GPU machine with roughly 24GB of pooled video memory. It runs local language models and image generation end to end, including upscaling and vector conversion. Nothing is sent to a third party.

Storage and backup

Multi-drive network storage separate from the compute nodes, holding media, archives and client deliverables. Nightly snapshots, a defined retention policy, and encryption keys held offline.

Access and security

No inbound ports are open to the internet. Everything is published through zero trust tunnels with identity checks in front of each service, non-standard internal ports, and per-service access policies.

What runs on it

Around fifty routed services across media, monitoring, dashboards, documents, notes, photo libraries, feeds, credentials and remote access. Roughly a dozen Docker stacks, each isolated and independently updatable.

Automation

Background services handle the repetitive parts: file conversion pipelines, thumbnail generation, scheduled backups and health checks. If a task happens more than twice, something in here ends up doing it.

How it is run

Documented as I go. Every build has a written guide, every failure has a recorded root cause, and the whole thing can be rebuilt from those notes. That discipline is the actual project.

Logo Services & Pricing

Want a logo like the ones in my gallery? I design custom neon graffiti, spray-paint, and liquid-paint style logos, badges, emblems, and full brand marks, generated and refined on my own AI hardware, delivered in high-resolution PNG and infinitely scalable SVG.

How it works

1. You fill out my short logo questionnaire (I'll send it to you).
2. I generate a first round of concepts in your chosen style and colors.
3. You pick your favorites, and I refine until it's exactly right.
4. You receive your final files, full rights included.

Fill in the questionnaire

Everything here is priced in Canadian dollars, and every price includes commercial usage rights and the full-resolution source files. Nothing is held back to be charged for later.

USD figures are a rough guide only. CAD is the price you actually pay, and the exact USD amount depends on the rate on the day and on your card issuer.

Not sure which one fits? Send the questionnaire anyway — it costs nothing and puts no obligation on you, and I will recommend something.

How to buy a wallpaper

The gallery does the hard part for you. Every thumbnail has a # button in its top corner — tapping it copies that image's reference, something like Wallpaper: 0016001-vibrant abstract wallpaper.

  1. Find the one you want and tap # to copy its reference.
  2. e-Transfer $1 to [email protected] and paste the reference into the message field.
  3. I send back a private download link, usually the same day.

Buying ten? Paste all ten references into the message, or email them separately if they do not fit.

Payment and rights

For logos, send the questionnaire first. I reply with a quote confirming the package, price and timeline before any work begins — nothing is owed until you agree to it.

Payment is by Interac e-Transfer within Canada, or a secure card payment link from anywhere else. On Standard and Premium I ask for 50% up front with the balance due when you approve the final files. Starter, wallpapers and commissions are paid in full on delivery.

Crypto is accepted on anything $75 CAD and above. Below that the network fee can rival the payment itself, so e-Transfer or card is the sensible route for single wallpapers and ten-packs. Tell me in your message if you would like to pay this way and I will send details.

These designs are generated with AI assistance on my own hardware, then selected and refined by hand. You receive full rights to use the delivered files however you like, commercially included. If you intend to register a trademark, it is worth speaking to a professional about that process — I am glad to supply whatever files they ask for.

IT Support Services

Alongside the design work, I provide hands-on IT support for homes, home offices and small businesses. Twelve years of helpdesk and infrastructure experience, from a single stubborn laptop to a full small-office setup.

Onsite in Mississauga and the GTA. Remote support anywhere.

Every job is quoted individually. IT work varies too much for a fixed price list to be honest, so tell me what is going on and I will give you a straight answer on what it takes and what it costs – before any work starts.

Logo Questionnaire

I appreciate your interest in a custom logo. The more detail you give, the closer the first concepts will be to what you are imagining. Skip anything you are unsure about — "designer's choice" is always a valid answer.

Deliverables

Standard delivery is high-resolution PNG (transparent background available) plus an infinitely scalable SVG for flat or clean designs. Heavily textured spray-paint styles are delivered as high-res PNG only, because vectorizing flattens the texture that makes them look good. I will advise which fits your design.
